Alan Foster
I have enjoyed a career spanning over forty-five years in the international automotive manufacturing industry - including over thirty years in management, executive and board positions. I have experience of and have developed skills in positions from bottom to top, within the industry and beyond. I have gained unique insight and experience across my broad range of leadership and operational roles, in problem solving, continuous improvement and strategy development.
With a world-class level of automotive manufacturing expertise, I have mastered skills in operational and organisational development, planning, facility development, facilities management, capital equipment projects, quality, and logistics. My breadth and depth of knowledge and expertise are echoed in the projects completed, qualifications attained and the accolades received throughout my career.

After a period of intense planning, drawing from global automotive experience and incorporating the cutting-edge technology-driven culture of F1, the design of MPC was complete.
The influence of the iconic MTC, designed by Ron Dennis and Sir Norman Foster, also served to influence.
In just fourteen months between breaking ground and the first in-facility completed car, the timeless and flexible McLaren Production Centre was completed on schedule and within budget.
